Hi my name is Ryan, I am 22 years old and I mainly reside in Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Role:
It was my job to create this brand new website for Alopecia Awareness and now I spend my spare time maintaining it, adding new content, supporting all our users and fixing any problems that they find. I have also recently taken over the day-to-day management of the charity after the initial founders unfortunately had to terminate their official involvement.

No, I got this job through Leanne Flavell the organisation leader and founder who thought it would be a good idea to rope me into the team and get me doing something useful!
Real Job:
Having completed a degree in Computer Science at the University of Sheffield, I now work for a software development company in North Yorkshire managing customer support.
Hobbies & Interests:
For some reason it just isn't in my nature to sit around and relax, I always have to be doing something. I stay very active, I try to get to the gym a few times a week, try to go surfing every weekend (though these days it's very hard to find the time) and enjoy getting involved in local events such as music festivals and community projects.
Although I like nothing more than a long walk in the local countryside, I can be pretty adventurous when I want to be and in the last few years have tried Quad Biking, Abseiling and most recently, Canoeing!
With what spare time I can find, I do a lot of work designing websites for people to earn a little bit of extra money, the Alopecia Awareness site was one of my first official projects but since then I have worked on a wide range of sites from property management to music festivals!

I became involved with Alopecia Awareness several years ago when I was approached by the founders of the charity and asked if I would be interested in designing a website for them. I never imagined the amount of work that would be involved so I accepted. The growth of this organisation over the years has been amazing and every effort has been put into making sure this website is as good as we hoped it would be.
